ENTERPRISE MIGRATIONS & TRANSITIONS

Move systems.
Keep the organisation working.

Tenant, identity, data and service migrations, planned around the people and operations that depend on them.

Wentland plans and executes transitions across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, cloud platforms and existing environments, coordinating the move from preparation through cutover and stabilisation.

BETWEEN ENVIRONMENTS

A transfer report is not proof
that work can continue.

Moving email or files is only part of a transition. People still need the right identities, permissions, applications and communication channels while source and destination environments coexist.

A migrated mailbox is not enough if sign-in fails. A copied document is not ready for use if its permissions are wrong. An application may be available while the service it depends on is still being moved.

We plan these relationships together — including the temporary arrangements, decision points and provider responsibilities needed to get through the change.

The transition is complete when the required services work together, not simply when the transfer tool reports completion.

MIGRATION EXPERTISE

What needs to move?

From a focused platform migration to a transition spanning multiple environments.

01 Microsoft 365 Migrations

Prepare and migrate Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.

We cover tenant preparation, identity alignment, email and calendar migration, data structures, validation and post-migration stabilisation.

Entra identities and affected device, security and information-governance controls are included in the transition scope, rather than treated as separate configuration tasks.

Google Workspace Migrations

02 Google Workspace Migrations

Plan Google Workspace transitions around users, email, calendars, files and the platform the organisation will work in next.

We establish what can be transferred, what needs rebuilding and what will change for users. Data ownership, permissions and working practices are checked against the destination, rather than assumed to carry across unchanged.

03 Cloud Platform Migrations

Coordinate workload, application and data moves across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments.

We map the dependencies between infrastructure, identity, networking and services, then sequence the transition around agreed operating windows and validation points.

Where the destination environment needs to be built or modernised, our Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure capability provides the engineering behind it.

Cloud Platform Migrations
Tenant / Environment Transitions

04 Tenant / Environment Transitions

Consolidate tenants, separate environments or transfer services after a merger, restructuring or change of provider.

We establish what moves, what remains and who assumes responsibility for identities, data, subscriptions and operational access.

Temporary dependencies and shared services are made explicit so the destination does not remain reliant on an environment the organisation intends to leave.

CONTROLLED EXECUTION

Agree the conditions.
Then authorise the move.

1

Establish the Scope

Identify the source and destination, affected users and services, dependencies, data requirements and provider responsibilities. Separate essential transition work from improvements that can follow.

2

Prove Readiness

Prepare the destination and validate representative migrations, access and critical workflows. Record unresolved issues and agree what must be resolved before the next stage.

3

Control the Cutover

Sequence migration waves, change windows and communications. Set go/no-go criteria and define recovery options, including where rollback is feasible and where it is not.

4

Confirm Completion

Check data integrity, permissions and business-critical services. Resolve migration issues, transfer operational knowledge and agree when temporary access or source services can be retired.

Where Microsoft Defender, Zscaler or Cisco networking is involved, we validate the affected protections and access paths as part of the transition. Existing technology is considered within the migration, not treated as a separate vendor project.

AFTER THE TRANSITION

A clear point of acceptance.
Not an open-ended migration.

Completion should be agreed against the environment the organisation needs to operate, with:

  • validated identities, data and access;
  • agreed service checks and recorded exceptions;
  • current documentation and named operational owners;
  • an agreed plan for remaining source services and temporary arrangements.

Stabilisation can lead to handover to internal IT, targeted support or broader Managed IT, depending on what the organisation needs.
